Demystifying Wall Street Careers for Veterans

New York, NY | July 5, 2023  - The Veterans Capital Markets Career Forum (www.vcmcf.com) hosted it’s third educational webinar, Demystifying Wall Street Careers, diving into the skills required to have a successful financial services career in Operations, Market Data, Sales/Account Management and Technology.

As Tom Jordan moderator of the event said, “the US Markets are the best in the world with one million working in the securities industry across the United States. There are excellent career choices and the skills and background of a veteran blend well with many areas in Capital Markets.”  The panelists Kerri Baker-Relf (Market Data) , Gus Maikish (Sales/Marketing) , Rich Iturbe (Operations)  and Brennan Carley (Technology/Communications)  provided insight on these areas to assist in assessing interests for our veterans.

VCMCF is focused on assisting veterans by providing educational webinars, subject matter expert (SME) guidance and interview prep and networking. VCMCF matches SMEs with interested veterans providing the veteran with an opportunity to learn about the industry from the SME. VCMCF works with Veteran Coordinators at colleges and universities and other veteran support organizations to share knowledge.
